There will be classes for everyone!
Novice Series Guidlines
- GQHA membership is required for Overall Series Awards.
- Points will be tabulated on all 3 shows.
- Must show a minimum of two shows to be eligible for Overall Series Awards.
- One horse – one rider rules apply to all awards.
- You may not show a Walk/Trot class and a Lope class in the same discipline.
- You cannot show ranch trail and regular regular trail at the same show.
- You cannot show ranch riding and western pleasure at the same show.
- Halter is NOT require for highpoints.
- You must show proof of membership in 4-H/FFA to compete in the division.
- No splits on tab – One back number/horse will be one statement/charge. It is your responsibility to split.

Rookie Eligibility
- Based on lifetime achievement of exhibitor and horse.
- The exhibitor must have earned fewer than 10 lifetime points in that particular class in any division.
- The horse must have earned fewer than 50 lifetime points in that particular class in any division.
- The exhibitor may not have won $5,000 or more in any equine organization, including earnings reported by Q Data, Equistat and other verfiable resources.
- The horse may not have won $1,000 or more in any equine organization, including earnings reported by Q Data, Equistat and other verfiable resources.
Novice (Level 1) Eligibility
- The exhibitor point cap is the greater of 25 points or the 90th percentile in that particular class.
- The exhibitor may not have:
- Exceeded the point cap for that particular class.
- Earned a Superior in the past 10 years in that particular class in any equine organization or association with a membership of more than 7,500 members;
- Placed in the top 3 at any AQHA World Show in that particular class;
- Won a world, reserve world, national or reserve national title in any equine organization with 7,500 members in that particular class;
- Won a total of $5,000 in cash with any equine organization or association by class including earnings reported by Q Data, Equistate and other verifiable resources;
- Competed on an NCEA equestrian team on a scholarship, or ride as a starting exhibitor.
