NOMINATIONS FOR GQHA ANNUAL AWARDS

Each year, GQHA requests nominations from our membership for the following three awards. Please review the criteria and submit your nominations to the GQHA president, Robin Barrow, by February 1 at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

Amateur of the Year Award - This award is presented to amateur based on sportsmanship, competitive spirit throughout the year, contribution of effort to the organization and leadership.

Randy Wilson Professional Horseman of the Year - This memorial award is given for outstanding involvement with GQHA as a professional horseman who demonstrates high standards of personal behavior, ethical conduct and professional carriage.

Fred "Ham Phillips Special Achievement Award - This award is given for special contribution to the Quarter Horse Industry through GQHA. The individual should demonstrate remarkable sportsmanship, high ethical standards and put forth special effort in furthering GQHA and the equine industry over time.

Roland Stacey Sportsmanship Award - This award is presented to the youth who has best displayed admirable sportsmanship and leadership qualities. Nominations for this award must come from GQHYA member(s).
